Who We Are
Welcome to BookNook4Kids.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children through the joy of reading. Our mission is to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where children from minority immigrant families, low-income communities, and those on the autism spectrum can explore the magic of books. Through our international online programs, we extend this mission to orphanages and shelters worldwide, building a global community connected by stories.
At BookNook4Kids.org, we do more than share books. We collect and donate books to shelters, including those in Mongolia, where we provide resources for The Magical Land in Khuvsgul, a haven for children in need. We also offer a publishing platform for children’s books, supporting authors and illustrators while channeling 100% of the profits to children’s welfare initiatives. Together, we can make a difference, one story at a time.

What parents and kids say,,,
Hear from Families Who Have Experienced the Adventure of the BookNook4Kids.org
Before we found BookNook4Kids, my daughter Uyangatuguldur, who is on the autism spectrum, didn’t know the alphabet and couldn’t sit still for reading time. Now, at 16, she not only understands short stories but also looks forward to every session with excitement. The patient coaches and the warm, supportive environment have truly changed her life. I’m especially grateful to Hosannah, the founder, for creating such an incredible program that meets kids where they are and helps them thrive."

Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting BookNook4Kids.org. As the founder of this organization, I am deeply committed to creating a brighter future for children everywhere. My journey as a recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Lifetime Achievement Award and other recognitions has been shaped by a lifelong dedication to children’s welfare and rights.
As a children’s book author and illustrator, I have used storytelling to advocate for justice and equity. Inspired by Prevent Child Abuse America, I launched a local campaign to raise awareness about child abuse, furthering my commitment to protecting the most vulnerable among us. My latest book, based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), helps young readers understand and champion their rights.
Beyond writing, I contribute as a journalist and lead illustrator for the STEM Journal for Kids and design educational game graphics to make learning engaging for children. Through BookNook4Kids.org, I merge my creative talents and passion for advocacy, empowering children through literacy and community support. We are also dedicated to publishing educational books for kids and opening opportunities for aspiring children’s book writers.
My hope is that this organization will inspire others to stand for children’s rights. I am committed to growing BookNook4Kids.org for children locally and globally, ensuring its mission reaches more young lives in need. Together, we can create a world where every child is heard, valued, and supported.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Hosannah Y. Choi
